About Author

This is a unique method to diagnose and confirm allergy to a variety of substances such as food additives, cosmetics, hair products, fabrics, metals, dental chemicals, and other materials that cannot be tested reliably by other methods.

It is done by using 2-4 band-aid type patches on the upper back. These should be kept dry for 48 hours and the results are read by looking at the skin. The materials are imported from Germany and are highly purified. No significant side effects are expected.

The positive results are the basis of giving advice about avoiding the materials. Examples of substances to which allergy is confirmed by patch tests include: food preservatives, food colors, monosodium glutamate, tobacco, nickel, mercury, tin, dental materials, ammonia, hair dyes, fragrances and perfumes, paraben, lanolin, wool, nylon, formaldehyde, latex, elastic, detergents, softeners and others.
