 Systemic Onset Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis -SOJIA is characterized by fever which is documented to be quotidian for at least 3 days and lasts for 2 weeks. Other features are arthritis, evanescent erythematous rashes, generalized lymphadenopathy, hepatosplenomegaly and serositis. It can be seen in all age groups. Child is quite well during afebrile intervals. Laboratory examination shows leucocytosis, anemia, thrombocytosis, elevated ESR, CRP and ferritin. Treatment includes NSAIDs, corticosteroids, methotrexate and Tocilizumab.

A life threatening complication macrophage activation syndrome(MAS) can be seen in patients with SJIA
